SOPPA
What is SOPPA?
SOPPA, or the Student Online Personal Protection Act, is a law passed in Illinois which takes effect July 1st, 2021. It requires all Illinois school districts to enter into written agreement with online providers offering services targeted at K-12 institutions. These agreements detail what data is collected and ensure measures have been taken to prevent unauthorized access.
