WC Pep Band will Make a 3rd Trip to State Finals!!!!
On March 10, 2012, 39 of West Carroll High School's Pep Band members will have the honor of playing at the 1A-2A State Basketball Finals!
Congratulations to West Carroll's Band Director Emily Bressler and her amazing student musicians!
WCPS hosted Family Reading Night
West Carroll Primary School in Savanna, Illinois held a Family Reading Night on Thursday, January 19th. The event was provided to give families an opportunity to read in a variety of settings and show families that there are more opportunities to read in our everyday lives than just homework and bedtime stories.
Fashion Show Fundraiser to Aid Community
The West Carroll NHS along with the Women of the Moose hosted a prom dress fashion show Sunday January 22nd. Proceeds from the event will be used by both organizaitons to help support our community.
The Patriot's Pen Award Winners Announced
The Patriot’s Pen competition is conducted annually by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. This year’s theme was “Are You Proud of Your Country?” and was chosen by the VFW’s Commander-in-Chief. On January 6, 2012, Mr. Bill Scott and Mr. Bruce Mottin, members of the VFW, presented three awards to students at West Carroll Middle School.

Waterfowl USA partners with West Carroll FFA
Two WCHS Ag Construction classes built 40 wood duck houses for WFUSA. WFSA supplied the materials and West carroll FFA supplied the manpower. This is a win win waterfowl gets nesting boxes and students gain experience in the Ag Shop.

West Carroll's Education Foundation will be hosting the 2012 Radio-thon on April 20th from 8:00am-12noon at the West Carroll Primary School in Savanna.
The Radio-thon is broadcast on WCCI Radio 100.3 FM and has been the largest fundraiser for the WCEF each year. Last year the WCEF raised over $26,000 which was returned to the district through grants at every grade level. Please mark your calendars and contact Rhonda Badtke if you have any questions or would like to volunteer. |
