Mr. Robert Lamb
Principal

Mr. Lamb has been a West Carroll Administrator for seven years. The first year of consolidation he served as assistant principal and has been the principal for the past six school years. Prior to moving to Illinois, Mr. Lamb served as a high school principal in Iowa for sixteen years. Before becoming an administrator, he taught high school social studies for thirteen years.

Mr. Lamb received an undergraduate degree in social studies from Iowa State University and his administrative degree from the University of Iowa. He and his wife, Robyn, have two sons. Matt is a graduate of Western Illinois University He and his wife, Jess, live in Mt. Morris, IL, where he works as an elementary teacher. Marty is also a WIU graduate and is employed by the Iowa Department of Banking Inspection. Mr. Lamb is a sports enthusiast and likes to do yard work in his spare time.

A major focus of Mr. Lamb has been to help create a “West Carroll” atmosphere and vision for students. Having been a principal at a consolidated school district in Iowa has helped him prepare for some of the challenges that have presented themselves. He definitely feels the high school is moving in the right direction and offers a curriculum that all levels of students can succeed and challenge themselves appropriately. It is definitely a goal of Mr. Lamb for West Carroll to establish a K-12 vision in all aspects of education for pupils. He takes the most pride in meeting former graduates and seeing the positive impact that they are making upon today’s society.

 

Mr. Clint Cowman
Assistant Principal

Mr. Cowman joins the West Carroll School District as the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director.  His focus will be on student attendance and discipline and all the responsibilities that are involved with being the high school athletic director. Prior to joining West Carroll, Mr. Cowman was a physical education teacher in the Macon Meridian school district.  He taught middle school physical education and coached boys and girls basketball.  His most memorable moment was being an assistant coach for the boys’ team that won the 2009 Class 1A State Championship. 
Mr. Cowman attended Carl Sandburg College where he received his associate’s degree and lettered in basketball for two years before accepting a scholarship to the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota to play basketball. He later transferred to Western Illinois University where he received an undergraduate degree in kinesiology. In 2010, Cowman received his administrative degree from Eastern Illinois University. He is a member of the Illinois Principals Association, National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Illinois Athletic Directors Association. 
Mr. Cowman has two children: Camden and Carsen.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his kids, watching sports, mainly Duke Blue Devil Basketball and Yankee baseball, and exercising.
