Mr. Lamb has been a West Carroll administrator for four years. The first year of consolidation he served as assistant principal and has been the principal for the past three school years. Prior to moving to Illinois Mr. Lamb served as a high school principal in Iowa for sixteen years. Before becoming an administrator he taught high school social studies for thirteen years.
Mr. Lamb received an undergraduate degree in social studies from Iowa State University and his administrative degree from the University of Iowa. He and his wife Robyn have two sons. Matt is a graduate of Western Illinois University and works in Chicago while Marty is a senior at WIU. Mr. Lamb is a sports enthusiast and likes to do yard work in his spare time.
A major focus of Mr. Lamb during his four years has been to help create a “West Carroll” atmosphere and vision for students. Having been a principal at a consolidated school district in Iowa has helped him prepare for some of the challenges that have presented themselves. He definitely feels the high school is moving in the right direction and offers a curriculum that all levels of students can succeed and challenge themselves appropriately. It is definitely a goal of Mr. Lamb for West Carroll to establish a K-12 vision in all aspects of education for pupils. He takes the most pride in meeting former graduates and seeing the positive impact that they are making upon today’s society. |
